North Star American Bistro has been serving the Brookfield community and beyond for the past 20 years, providing an upscale yet casual atmosphere where people come together, connect, and enjoy our creative take on classic comfort foods and handcrafted cocktails.

We are currently accepting applications for our salad-cooking station. This position will focus on prepping all salad, pizza, and other items necessary from the salad station.

Most of these shifts are from 4 to 9:30 pm. More hours can be offered if you are willing and able to work more shifts.

Responsibilities of a Cook:

Maintaining a sanitized and well-organized kitchen.
Preparing workstations for cooking.
Preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment.
Checking the quality of the ingredients.
Preparing cooking ingredients using various techniques.
Arranging food and ensuring an appealing presentation.
Manage food storage, stock, and ingredient orders.

Cook Job Requirements:

Must have prior experience as a cook.
Must be skilled in operating kitchen equipment.
Must know and follow sanitation procedures.
Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
Must showcase great organizational skills.
Must be able to multitask and act quickly.

This is a fun and high-energy environment to work in. Many of our cooks have been with us for 3-10 years. If you have reliable transportation and can be on time for your shift, we definitely want to talk to you.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
